Jess
Jess is the love of my life. She is my best friend and soul mate.
She has competed and placed in obedience and agility.
Jess and I both really enjoy obedience, she is wagging her tail throughout the exercise and i have had a few comments on how lovely it is to see a happy dog and not just a robot. At our first every obedience show, when Jess was about a year old, we won first place in the Beginners class and won out in to Novice in the same year. We have had a few placings in Novice but i have been unable to get away to enough shows to advance as yet. I have really let her down, as i think she has the potential to be a champion.

She never really liked agility, she was never really fast or happy about it. And its not that shes not a fast dog, she races me on the motor bike flat tack and likes to give any bird a run for its money too. I just think she liked to keep all four paws on the ground. Even still Jess got all clear rounds at shows and if she didn't it was usually handler error like directing her the wrong way! She was always consistent. At her final show of competing Jess won her first ribbons for 3rd and 5th place in Starters.
Jess' other passion other then obedience is stock work. She is a huge help on the farm with her bark command, though not a border collie trait, it is very handy to have! She has a strong drive and head but not alot of distance as she is a real mummies girl. She likes work where i am at her side, probably because of the strong start in obedience. She is just as good a yard dog as the next Huntaway, penning up and pushing up the race, she will stand her ground if any sheep tries it on with her and its like she enjoys the thrill of a good challenge.
Jess had a lovely litter of pups in February 2011 to Chelsea Marriners Shift- a powerful, stylish sheepdog with an awesome nature and strong eye. I kept Lily from this litter.
I am currently planning Jess' last litter for 2012
